IS THERE A FEE TO BOOK A SPEAKER?

Yes, as of January 1, 2023. CCA will be establishing a Speakers’ Honorarium fee to recognize the time and efforts of our speakers. We will never deny a school or civic organization a speaker due to their inability to pay, if you require financial assistance please email: [email protected]

HOW FAR IN ADVANCE DO I NEED TO REQUEST A SPEAKER?

The sooner the better. The more time we have, the more likely we are to match you with someone. However, we need ideally 4 weeks advance notice.

IF THERE IS NOT A SPEAKER IN MY AREA, WHAT HAPPENS THEN?

If we are not able to locate an available speaker in your area, a speaker can present via Zoom or other virtual presentation platform. If this works for you, we will match you with a speaker who is comfortable doing a video call presentation.

Of course, if you really want an on-site speaker, we do have speakers who will travel as long as their travel costs are covered by your organization.

ARE ALL CCA SPEAKERS ALSO SPEAKERS’ BUREAU MEMBERS?

Our Speakers’ Bureau process is currently on pause.

However, no, the individuals listed on our website are Speakers’ Bureau members — meaning they have under gone a training process and audition review. Each individual is granted their title after careful review. The title is valid for two years and then open to renewal after a second audition review.

First, we will attempt to match you with a CCA Speakers’ Bureau member. If we are unable to do so, we will then search through our pool of CCA Kids and Adults who have previous experience speaking at schools and organizations but simply have not undergone our training at this time.
