Craniofacial Acceptance Month (CAM)

2025 marks the 21st year Children’s Craniofacial Association will observe September as Craniofacial Acceptance Month across the nation. Each year CCA families, friends, volunteers and related support groups band together to widen the circle of acceptance for individuals with facial differences. We are proud to keep this tradition alive! View our anticipated schedule for 2025 below.

To commemorate 36 years of service, we chose the theme “Celebrate our Differences.” Our resilient community makes the work we do possible. They are the leaders of the facial difference acceptance movement.

The landscape of Craniofacial advocates and activists has exponentially grown over the years. Organizations and communities are working together to push for awareness, acceptance, and inclusion for the facial difference community. From advocating for needed legal protections, like ELSA (Ensuring Lasting Smiles Act), to hosting podcasts interviewing people from all walks of life, to insisting medical professionals with facial differences be respected for their lived experience: we realize that together, we create impact. Each individual is sharing their own perspective that informs the work: we are celebrating our diversity. Together, we create representation for the younger generation on what life can be when we share ideas, resources, and truth among ourselves. Together, we project acceptance to the public at large.

You can help us share our amazing stories, too! We ask you to designate a segment on your local radio or television news program for a story about a local child or adult with a facial difference or craniofacial condition. We can help connect you with an advocate near you to talk about personal and public issues related to living with a facial difference.

We hope you will join this important effort! For questions, please call 800.535.3643.

Now more than ever, we have hope and insight for a connected future. Check out our YouTube page!
