BECOME A MEMBER
Are you interested in joining the Speakers’ Bureau? The CCA Speakers’ Bureau launched in 2018 due to an influx in requests from schools and organizations to hear the stories and experiences of our CCA Kids and Adults.
The Speakers’ Bureau certification process is outlined below. Please read through to the bottom of the page to learn more about this important program. Below, you find all our forms, including the bureau information sheet, code of ethics, and application. Let’s get speaking!
THE PROCESS

WHAT HAPPENS AFTER YOU BECOME A SPEAKERS’ BUREAU MEMBER?
Once you are accepted as a member you are then officially a part of the Speakers’ Bureau Cadre, welcome!
- Your profile will be displayed for viewing by those interested in booking a speaker.
- When CCA receives a request in your area you will be the first to be considered over non-members.
- You will have access to the the Speakers’ Bureau Video playlist containing all Speakers’ Bureau videos published to date.
- You will receive a Silver-Status CCA member logo valid for 2 years.
- You will have an opportunity to be considered to earn Gold-Status (certified) valid for 2 years.
HOW TO ATTAIN GOLD-STATUS CERTIFIED
All Silver-Status Speakers’ Bureau members will have the opportunity to attain Gold-Status certified by following the steps below:
- Complete five speaking sessions arranged by Children’s Craniofacial Association (CCA)
- After each session CCA will contact the organizer for feedback. As long as the feedback is positive the session will count towards your five.
- Previous speaking sessions can not count towards the five required sessions.
- Sessions must be scheduled through us. If you have someone interested in having you speak please direct them to our request link and to list your name in the speaker request box. (Any questions or special circumstances can be directed to [email protected])
AS A SPEAKERS’ BUREAU MEMBER WILL I BE PAID?
Yes, as of the Fall of 2022, with the generosity of the Ananda Foundation and our mentors: David Roche and Marlena Blavin, we are taking the Bureau a step further by establishing a speaker’s honorarium and travel fee. The honorarium and fee will not only support you, our speakers, but a portion of the fee will be reinvested in a scholarship fund and continuous mentoring and training programs for our speakers. The scholarship fund will allow us to never deny a school of civic organization a speaker due to their inability to pay. While the training program grants us the opportunity to continue investing in the growth of our speakers.

EXCEPTIONS TO THE RULE:
If you have spoken for CCA in the past in a paid capacity or have completed over 20 documented speaking sessions with us you may be eligible to be considered for the gold-certified status without needing to apply for member step.
