Staff 

Erica Klauber, MBA, Executive Director
Erica has served CCA in the past as a Board member and volunteer. She brings her experience from the fields of higher education and business development to CCA to help continue the strong, 30-year legacy of empowering and giving hope to families affected by facial differences. Erica seeks to find new ways to connect our community and help make the world a kinder place.

Annie Reeves, Program Director
Annie brings enthusiasm, compassion, professionalism and over 14 years of experience to her role as CCA’s Program Director. In that capacity, she is CCA’s direct connection to the individuals and families we serve. Annie coordinates all areas of programming including, CCA’s Annual Family Retreat, educational publications (newsletters, booklets, and overviews) Financial Assistance and Outreach. Annie says, “My goal is to serve our families with compassion, kindness, and efficiency and offer them assistance, hope, and empowerment.”

Khadija Z. Moten, Outreach Director
Khadija has served CCA previously in the past as an intern and volunteer where she headed the effort on ink cartridge collection for fund gathering in Dallas. Her varied background in healthcare, education, and non-profit work provided the perfect foundation to now positively grow CCA’s educational programs and #ChooseKind initiative while maintaining and deepening relationships with educators across the nation. Khadija has a passion for serving her community and improving the lives of children.

Christine Andler, Director of Development
Christine is our Director of Development. She prides herself on being hard-working, efficient, creative and most importantly, kind. She formerly ran the Meyerson Family Foundation and previously worked in Corporate Communications for The Neiman Marcus Group. Christine is very active in Dallas Philanthropy. She is currently the secretary for Genesis Women’s Shelter’s Young Leaders Board of Directors; the Assistant Chair for the Community Outreach Committee with The Junior League of Dallas; and longtime evening volunteer with Texas Scottish Rite Hospital for Children. Christine grew up in Phoenix, Arizona and received her Bachelor of Science from Texas Christian University. In her free time, she loves to explore Dallas, be with family, travel near and far, volunteer, attempt to cook, garden with her black thumb, and cheer on the TCU Horned Frogs!

Kara Jackman, Adult Programs Coordinator
Kara is an Archivist at Boston University by day and a freelance writer by night. She is the Adult Programs Coordinator for CCA and a regular contributor to the website, The Mighty. She formerly wrote for Not Your Average Sports Chick, Sports of Boston, and Yawkey Way Report, and other Massachusetts-based news outlets. She spent seven years on the Board of Directors of the Foundation For Faces of Children in Boston, Massachusetts. Her interests are many and varied thanks to her four years at the College of the Holy Cross and Master’s degree from the University of Pittsburgh. She writes about everything from being born with a facial difference to music and fitness.

Char Smith, Executive Director Emeritus
Char has been with the charity since its inception, taking over as Executive Director in 1991. During that time she has served in every position and has an intimate knowledge of the day-to-day workings of the charity.
